A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

The key things organisers ask us, answered.

Pricing is based on the number of teams taking part, with larger bookings receiving a discount from our standard game pricing. Send us your numbers and we'll email you a tailored quote.

TO PLAY THE GAME
+ A desktop, laptop (Mac or PC) or Chromebook computer
+ Good internet connection
+ Recommended download speed of at least 10Mbps

TO HOST A GAME VIA VIDEO CHAT
+ A video chat platform which allows screen & audio sharing - We recommend the app version of Zoom or Teams. You can also use free platforms like Google Meet and Discord.
+ A recommended upload speed of at least 2.5Mbps.

How do I test my internet speed?
If you're not sure how good your internet connection is just type 'internet speed test' into Google and run speed test.

You'll need a PC or Mac computer to play the game but a lot of people do stream it to their TV over wi-fi, using Apple TV, Chromecast (or similar) or a good old HDMI cable.

This is a really fun way to do it because you can get the benefit of the bigger screen and audio.

Laptop to TV streaming set-ups will vary depending on your type of computer and TV but, if you can stream a regular website from your computer to the TV, you can stream the game 😉. Just be sure to send your entire desktop to your TV, not the game as an app.

If you run into any difficulty streaming the video sections of the game, please check for the 'embedded' video version in the troubleshooting section of the settings menu. The embedded version can be easier for some streaming setups to handle.

We also have a digital backpack system which lets everyone examine the clues on their phones / tablets, which is very handy for puzzle solving.

You can play together in-person or online over any video chat which allows screen and audio sharing (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet etc)

Here's how you play remotely:

- Buy one game for your whole team

- Pick one person to be 'host' who will load the game

- Your 'host' will share their screen and audio with the rest of your team

You will be walked through this, step-by-step, at the start of the game!
