Hallows Hill FAQs
Hallows Hill is a cinematic browser game, which means you can play it on your computer, just as you would access a regular website.
WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Your adventure begins with the story of a missing old lady, who has vanished from her residential home. In order to find her, your team is lead to a spooky abandoned house (Hallows Hill) which has a deep connection to her past. You must enter the house and work your way around it by solving puzzles and riddles, unlocking the story (and the rooms) one by one until you reach the conclusion of the story.
HOW DO I PLAY?
All of the interaction is done by pointing and clicking your mouse trackpad but there are many clues to investigate - the puzzles have a good mix of logic and deduction and there is a lot of video, just as you will have seen in the adverts.
The game usually takes around 90 minutes / 2 hours to complete and it's designed to be played in teams, although you can play solo if you'd like a challenge!
Only one person will be 'pressing the buttons' but we also have a Digital Backpack system which lets everyone examine the clues on their phones / tablets - very handy for puzzle solving!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BUY?
You will receive an email with your license code on and a link to play. You can start whenever you like. You can also stop and start as much as you like (the game has an autosave), there's no time limit to finish.
You code only expires once you complete your escape. There is also a demo game which you can try before you play for real. All of this is available when you launch the game from your purchase email.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY?
- Desktop or laptop computer
- Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge web browser (not Safari)
- Good internet connection
And if you want to play remotely with your friends:-
- Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or any video chat which allows screen and audio sharing

You can start the game whenever you are ready. You can even play across multiple sessions and the game will save your progress. There's absolutely no time limit so take as long as you need.
Yes. It's a great way to experience the game!
You'll need a PC or Mac to play the but most computers can stream content to TV over Wi-Fi / Apple TV / Chromecast or via an HDMI cable.
We also have a Digital Backpack system which lets everyone examine the clues on their phones and tablets, which is very handy for puzzle solving!
Our games are all rated PG-13, ensuring there's no violence, adult themes, or gory scenes. While our dialogue may include a few mild swear words, they're well within the boundaries of age-appropriate content.
The puzzles can be quite challenging, even for grown-ups, so we always recommend children play with an adult who can help them out.
Hallows Hill is more on the spooky side than outright scary, so should be no problem for kids who won't be unsettled by a ghostly tale or a bit of a jump scare.

As soon as your purchase goes through, you'll automatically receive two emails:-
1 x receipt confirming your payment
1 x Order email containing your unique 16-digit license code
When you're ready to play simply click the 'Launch Game' button and follow the on-screen instructions as the game loads.
Once you reach the main menu, you can begin your game using the 'Start New Game' button. You will then be asked for your license code. Copy and paste it from your order email into the box (don't forget the dashes) and you'll be off on your escape!
